Her work interweaves self-portrayal with tales that incorporate myth, literature, religions, and reality. It teeters between imagination and reality, wakefulness and dreaming to create an out-of-body experience.

Camporesi’s photographs have been exhibited worldwide. She was awarded the Celeste photography prize in 2007, she has been a finalist for both the Talent Prize and the Terna Prize, and was an artist-in-residence at the Chambre Blanche in Quebec, in 2011.

One of Camporesi's most recent bodies of work titled, “Atlas Italiae”, was completed in 2015. The work explores abandoned and dilapidated locations in Italy. Camporesi hand-coloured each image, inserting her own restoration in a sense and returning life and vibrancy to the location.
