Colours of Autumn: In Footage

Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.
— Albert Camus

There’s a noticeable chill in the air, the orange leaves are falling and Halloween is coming up: Autumn is here! As this cosiest of seasons begins, dive into our archive of historic and contemporary autumn-inspired footage. From lakes and parks at the peak of the season to a London night out with roasted chestnuts, we’re in the spirit of the season already!

In addition to our beautiful footage of the season, we also have a selection of Halloween inspired clips and animations.

This jovial dancing grim reaper is an example of one of our animated phenakistoscopes from the 19th century. We’ve been able to take these images courtesy of the Richard Balzer collection and digitally animate them, giving the illusion of motion as they would’ve been seen originally.

Step into Autumn with our new showreel ushering in the Autumn/Fall season with footage taken from our 20th century collections. If you’re having trouble finding the clip you need, get in touch with us today.

Discover Autumn In Footage.

Our archive of exclusive footage clips is growing all the time so there is always something new to discover.

We offer free research, so please contact us if you need help sourcing anything from the archive.
