Bridgeman presents: In Conversation with Eileen Cooper RA

We are thrilled to announce our upcoming Artist Talk in collaboration with Firmdale Hotels, with none other than the brilliant Eileen Cooper RA, whose copyright is represented by Bridgeman. The event will take place on 24 May at 6:30PM, at Ham Yard Hotel.

This is an exciting time for the artist, as she is curating this year’s Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy, which opens in June. Bridgeman’s own Artists’ Manager Aretha Campbell, who herself has over 10 years’ experience curating contemporary art, will be chatting to Eileen about her approach to this prestigious task. Guests attending the talk will even have a chance to preview a new work by the artist that will feature in the exhibition.

Eileen Cooper, who is the first ever woman to be elected Keeper of the Royal Academy, creates paintings that are bold and earthy, yet incredibly feminine and tender at the same time. Her style has often been described as a “magical realism”.
