Visit Bridgeman Studio artist Lee Campbell’s solo show at The Baxter Gallery, Kingston Grammar School in London
Lee Campbell has been showing her colourful paintings nationally and internationally for over 20 years. Her works particularly embrace the hazy atmosphere of England’s landscapes and its haunting, misty mornings. She seeks a variety of challenging settings to paint in and thus depicts diverse subject matters, from ballet shoes to churches and rusty boats.
This current exhibition is the result of a donation of a painting of the Lovekyn Chapel owned by the school which is the only remaining free-standing chantry chapel in England and, dating back to 1309, is the oldest complete building in Kingston. Although it is no longer used for religious services, it’s the most popular venue in the Royal Borough for civil ceremonies and civil partnerships.
The public viewing will take place on the 2nd of March and the exhibition is open until the 31st of March 2017.
