Set in the ancient parkland of Oxfordshire’s Cornbury Estate, Wilderness Festival is the multi-award winning 4-day festival combining live music, contemporary arts and an array of theatre, craftsmanship and dining experiences. A new concept for 2015, the Wilderness Studio aims to bring affordable art classes to the wilds. This is the first of our series highlighting the Bridgeman Studio artists taking part.

Isobel Barber decided on a paper-cut headdress theme for her workshop where visitors can come and create their own hand-cut floral headdress or garland – the perfect festival accessory!
Isobel Barber is a papercutting illustrator and artist, living and creating in the very beautiful county of Dorset, England. She graduated from the Arts University Bournemouth in 2012 with a degree in Textile design, where she specialised in creating illustrative patterns and print designs using a cut paper technique. Isobel is constantly inspired by the beautiful Dorset countryside, coastline and wildlife. All her artworks are made from lovingly cut and assembled paper and a large portfolio of her work is available for image licensing via Bridgeman Studio.

Set inside a canvas marquee, the studio boasts a classroom space, exhibition shop and reception. From life drawing to graphic illustration, paper sculpture to collage, screen printing to lomography, Wilderness are working with contemporary partners to deliver art classes with a difference. The aim is to not only expose the lay creative to new skills but to brush off the slightly middle-age dust associated with art classes, bringing a contemporary flavour. Read more
