A French painter and printmaker, as well as a founding member of the Post-Impressionist group of avant-garde painters Les Nabis. His paintings are often characterised by a dream-like quality and typically depict intimate domestic scenes.
An Irish artist who was a founding member of the influential Newlyn school of painters. Forbes generally painted genre scenes and landscapes en plein air. He was skilled at capturing the effects of lighting on a room and the people within it.

Martini was a leading Italian sculptor between the First and Second World Wars. His works moved between a very vigorous (almost ancient Roman) classicism and modernism. He seemed to have been an active supporter of the Futurist movement.
