‘The Folio Society’s beautifully illustrated edition of Agincourt: The King, the Campaign, the Battle is by one of Britain’s most acclaimed historians and would make a great present for my brother-in-law. This revised and updated edition features redrawn maps and full-colour pictures that shed light on this story of chivalry and brutality in a time when kings still fought on the battlefield’

‘This Christmas, I will be buying my brother a piece of original art from our Bridgeman Gallery on CultureLabel. It’s a fantastic screenprint by one of my favourite contemporary illustrators, Eliza Southwood. My brother is an avid cyclist and I think it’s a great investment for his growing collection of illustration.’

‘For all the techies in my family, I like to pick out personalized device covers.  On Zazzle, I can choose the image I want, pick the device cover I need and then center the image as needed on the product. This is fun to do and also provides a gift that is truly unique to that person I’m gifting. ‘

‘This book was published to coincide with an exhibition about Francesco Hayez (1791-1882) in Milan at the Gallerie d’Italia. It is the first book of a new series of art books for children, called “Artégioco”, produced by 24 Ore Cultura.  For anyone planning to take their children to the exhibition (on till February 2016) this book is an excellent introduction.’

‘Outdoorsy types are often not terribly interested in dressing up, preferring fleece jackets to tailored blazers. This tie, cufflink and pocket square set is a perfect way to smarten up the keen angler in your life: inspired by different details from a print by Laurie Hastings, the vibrant colour, clean lines and shoal of fish will certainly appeal to my amateur fisherman uncle (who certainly doesn’t need any more fleece jackets under the Christmas tree this year!).’

‘I would pick Charlotte Evans’ Stars  on CultureLabel. Charlotte has created new gouache paintings especially for the launch of Bridgeman Gallery. Her work, with its dreamlike light and colour, has been compared to magical realist Peter Doig’.

‘The Adoration of the Shepherds’  jigsaw puzzle brings home the message about the real reason we celebrate Christmas and is a festive, fun and therapeutic puzzle for all the family to enjoy. The vibrant colours and detail of Charles Le Brun’s artwork has been captured beautifully.’
